Abstract | Results of investigation of deep combined beneficiation of sample of Kok-Bulak deposit’s oolitic ore are presented in the article. The possibility of obtaining enriched with iron (50,8% Fe) mono-oolitic concentrate (76,73% yield) and poorer pseudo-oolitic intermediate product (8,98% yield) as a result of dry magnetic separation is shown. The usage of alkali autoclave treatment allows to improve intermediate product by removing part of major impurity (quartz) and to reduce silicon module from 1,94 to 0,83-0,76. The combined concentrate obtained by mixing contains 51,4% Fe which corresponds to the extraction into the concentrate 91,56% and ratio of SiO2/Al2O3=0,4. Such characteristics enable to recommend this saleable product for direct reduction process with metal and self-spilling slag production. |

Abstract | In the article results of researches of phase composition of manganese-containing raw materials with application of raster electronic microscopy are presented. According to power dispersing spectrometry (EMF-analysis) there are pyrolusite, psilomelane, ramsdellit, braunite, rhodonite in manganese-containing sludge. As the waste rock there are aluminosilicates, calcite, plaster and quartz. It is shown that at leaching of a cinder after roasting sludge with sulfuric acid concentration increase the manganese content in the solution increases, however thus the content of impurities (Fe, P, Zn) noticeably rises. The increase of temperature during leaching manganese-containing cinder leads to increase of extraction of manganese into solution. It is proposed combined scheme for processing the sludge, which includes reduction roasting and leaching of cinder by sulfuric solutions to produce manganese sulfate solutions. |

Abstract | It is established that the processes of mineral formation and sintering of magnesia-silicate compositions of MgO-SiO2 systems depend on the composition of the charge and nature of its components. Introduction of magnesium oxide into the composition increases their fire resistance up to 1700°С due to transfer of magnesium metasilicate into high-temperature forsterite and minor minerals into secondary spinel. Refractory clay additives contribute to the formation of a multi-component system at the roasting process to form low-melting eutectic, which allows to reduce the roasting temperature of the samples from 1500-1600°С down to 1250-1300°С. |
