Abstract | The process of the roast-magnetic refining of Lisakovsk gravity-magnetic concentrate by using of Shubarkol coal as a reducer was investigated. It was shown that the roast temperature decreased to 550°C due to the impact of coal pyrolysis gases, the concentrate’s magnetism increased from 0,25 to 82,6 g/g of concentrate (i.e. 330 times higher), and iron content in the concentrate increased from 49,02 to 60,8% with 98,8% yield in cinder as the result of the magnetic separation. It was found that furnace unloading of cinder for temperatures up to 700°C had a positive influence on its magnetism as the result of second oxidation of wustite‘s surface layers to magnetite or maghemite. |

Abstract | The results of the intensification of hydrometallurgical methods of wolframite concentrate decomposition by its mechanical activation in a centrifugal mill (CМ). Physico-chemical study of samples of activated wolframite concentrate has shown different effects of mechanical activation on the structure of different compounds of tungsten. Thus, tungsten and gyubnerit undergo changes in the structure of polymer chains with the formation of defects and stress alone bonds W=O. At the same time, the structure of ferberite under the same conditions remained unchanged because of the strength of the Fe-O-W bonds. It is shown that the “dry” mechanical activation changes in the structure of wolframite and gyubnerita appear to a greater extent than in “wet”. Found that, despite the absence of structural changes in the mechanical activation of ferberite at mechanoactivation of wolframite concentrate, leach rates are rather high. A sharp increase in the extent and rate of decomposition of wolframite concentrates by leaching in the case of preliminary mechanical activation of a planetary centrifugal mill. It is shown that at the duration of activation of the concentrate in water slurry for 15 min. the degree of decomposition it for 30 minutes as high as 98% versus 40% in non-activated. |

Abstract | The procedure of acid sewages’ neutralization by calcite and of the final precipitation of impurities from rinsing waters by hydrated lime was investigated. It was shown that the solutions were exposed by calciferous compounds during the two-stage method mentioned above which is effective and provides deep refining of the spent solutions from iron, aluminum, silicium and phosphorus. As the result, phosphorus containing gypsum (95% CaSO4) of technical quality which may be used in agriculture as a soil fertilizer and refined circulating waters were obtained. |

Abstract | Results of thermodynamic analysis of sulphurizing process of nickel arsenides by element sulphur, pyrite and pyrite in presence of limited supply of oxygen in gas phase within of temperatures 873-1073 K are presented in the work. It was found that sulphurizing is thermodynamically possible by all reagents. Abstract | New, the self-similar existence range of system “gas – liquid” – the smelt layer with phase inversion was found, where both the phases perform the inversion of state in sequency: “continuous – discrete – continuous”. It has been found that the sublimation rate of zinc in layer of phase inversion 2 times higher than in boiling layer of smelt, and the level of specific fuel consumption, when processing ” rich” and “poor” Zn- contained slags in layer of phase inversion, much the same, that refutes the current opinion about processing unprofitability of “poor” (Zn3-5%) slags. |

Abstract | The results of studies on the interaction of oxides of iron, chromium and niobium with a reducing agent – Shubarkol coal are presented. With increasing temperature of reduction annealing from 950 to 1250°С and the holding time from 30 to 180 min the degree of reduction of oxides of metals increases. A kinetic analysis of the experimental data is conducted, rate constant of the reaction, the reaction order and apparent activation energy are calculated. Apparent activation energies for the recovery of iron oxide by Shubarkol coal at 1250°С was 8.518 kJ/mol, chromium oxide – 60.64 kJ/mol, niobium penta-oxide – 77.64 kJ/mol, i.e. reaction of carbothermic reduction of oxides of iron, chromium and niobium proceeds in the diffusion as well as in kinetic regions. |

Abstract | Behaviour of iron, aluminium and calcium in difficult salt system at extraction processing of rare-earth metals from industrial solutions has been studied. It has been shown that presence of calcium in a solution does not influence on rare-earth metals extraction, glut of an organic phase by aluminium salts calls formation of hydroxide solid phase and low values рН of initial solution increase the iron content in it. |

Abstract | As a result of the researches it is established, that amino acid – cysteine promotes gold recovery. Increase of leaching solution temperature up to 30°С with simultaneous increase of cysteine concentration up to 0,01 g-equ/dm³ at stirring intensity 300 rev/min raises gold recovery up to 61%. Sensitive method for amino acids, in particular cysteine, identification by using liquid chromatography with precolumnar derivatization by orthophthalic aldehyde and fluorimetry detecting on 338 nanometers wave length is described. |

Abstract | Results of researches of cathodic polarization of the Pt-electrode in the Mo-containing citric ammonium-sulphate, fluorides sulfuric acid solutions with and without additive of glycerin are presented in the article. Currents of exchange (2,1-5,6 × 10-3 A/cm²) are calculated. The rate of cathodic reduction of molybdenum ions from electrolytes based on ammonium molybdate is lower, than from electrolytes on the basis of molybdenic acid. Values of effective energy of activation in the range of temperatures 20-50°С are determined. It is shown, that Mo ions reduction process flows in diffusion-kinetic mode. |

Abstract | Modes of Me-glass coating using the magnetron sputtering with adhesion index have been studied. Mo-glass system adhesion index grows proportionally to thickness of Mo-coating. Nevertheless after annealing at 750°C the highest adhesion index has been detected for thinnest coating. For W-glass system the maximal break stress was observed in case of minimal thickness of coating and it grows with increasing thickness in non-monotonic manner. The objective of these studies was to work-off the modes of coating of non-metal surfaces to produce aluminium matrix composite materials. |
