Abstract | The results of investigation on the influence of the divinylbenzene (DVB) content in anionite and size of its particles on rhenium and uranium sorption are given in the article. As example it has been studied the effect of DVB content in gel modification anionite АN-21, changed from 2 to 20% (mass.) and particles size (0,4; 0,6 и 0,8 mm) on simples containing DVB 6 и 16% (mass.). Experiments were carried out in static condition. It was established that the rhenium is sorbed preferable than uranium independently from studied parameters. The rhenium sorption ability didn’t depend on content of DVB in anionite and diameter of particles, but that parameters influence on the equilibration time. The uranium sorption as opposed to rhenium sorption depended on content of DVB: increasing it from 4 up to 20% (mass.) decreases SEC (COE) ~ in 15 times, but has smaller dependence on size of ionite particles. The different sorption ability of rhenium and uranium anions by anionites was explained with position of metals ion state in solution |

Abstract | The paper presents results on the sorption of rhenium and uranium from solutions of their joint presence. The influence of anion nature (strongly, weakly and intermediate basic, and bifunctional) and their salt form (sulphate, chloride, nitrate, and hydroxide) on the sorption capacity of metals from acid solutions under static conditions has been studied. It is established that rhenium is sorbed preferable than uranium regardless of the nature of the anionite and the salt form with the exception of hydroxide. Uranium is not sorbed by weakly basic anionite exchangers of the gel structure, is sorbed in very small amount – by weakly basic anionite of pore structure, somewhat better – by highly basic anion exchangers, good – by bifunctional anionite. Sorption of uranium depends strongly on the salt form of the anion: anion exchangers in the chloride and nitrate forms – slightly, hydrated – it is precipitated in the sulfate form – well. By the method of IR-spectroscopy it was established that the absorption bands of UO22+ and ReO4– are close in their values. Different sorption capacity of metals is explained from the standpoint of their ionic state in solution. |

Abstract | The results of physicochemical studies of fine cleaning dust of electrosmelting of ilmenite concentrate and behavior of the dominant impurity – iron at the sulfuric acid leaching are presented. Physicochemical studies have shown that components of dust are ilmenite, aluminum oxide, and mullite, kristobullite. It is established that the maximum specific rate of iron transition into the solution at the interaction of fine cleaning dust of electrosmelting of ilmenite concentrate with sulfuric acid solutions is achieved at the acid concentration of 3,0 mol/dm³ and the process temperature of 95°C. |

Abstract | The questions of pyrometallurgical processing of Kok-Bulak dephosphorized ironstone concentrates by solid-phase and liquid-phase reduction methods were considered. The production characteristics for the conditional phosphorus-containing pig iron which can be used for subsequent processing to steel were found. It was shown that the gas is the most effective reducer for solid-phase methods of primary metal production. It was estimated that high rate of liquid-phase reduction of FeO by gaseous reducer is a result of specific parameters (slag melt viscosity, gas-melt reaction surface, temperature, removing of reduced metallic iron). Under given conditions such as process temperature 1380-1420°C, 5-7 mass. % FeO in slag and basicity of slag 1,1-1,2, the metal with phosphorus content less than 0,01 mass. % may be produced. The thermodynamic calculations have demonstrated a possibility and theoretic sequence of reactions of phosphorus and iron oxides reduction, and the temperature ranges of these reactions were found. |

Abstract | It has been determined the kinetic parameters for the process of leaching the main components of coal combustion ashes: mullite, quartz and cristobalite by potassium hydroxide solution. The activation energy of decomposition of mullite by potassium hydroxide is 86,2 kJ/mol. It has been studied the process of obtaining the potassium metasilicate solution – major component for chlorine-free potash fertilizers obtaining. The optimal conditions for silica recovery are concentration of potassium hydroxide 300 g/dm³, temperature – 100°C. It was determined that with increasing duration of the process SiO2 content in the solution increases. |

Abstract | It has been studied the kinetics and macro-mechanism of tin recovery from cassiterite by carbon, silicon and aluminum, obtained experimental dependence of the degree and rate of tin recovery on the temperature, quantity of reducers, the sample mass and determined the sequence of the stages of reducing process. It has been established that the recovery of tin from cassiterite by carbon flows in two stages through formation of tin monoxide, which then disproportionates to metallic tin. In the case of recovery of tin from cassiterite by silicon takes place the consecutive transition of dioxide into monoxide and then into the metal tin. Interaction of cassiterite with aluminum is characterized by sequential formation of carbon monoxide and then a metal tin. |

Abstract | The results of researches of joint cathodic reduction of Re and Mo from aqueous electrolytes of different composition by voltammetry are presented in article. It is established that the additions of sulfuric acid, citric acid, sodium fluoride and glycerin into the Re-Mo-containing solutions bring together redox potentials of these solutions and make possible the deposition of Re and Mo into the alloy by electrolysis. Increase in temperature has the greatest influence on the cathodic reduction of Re and Mo ions in sulfuric acid fluoride electrolytes as compared with citrate electrolyte. The values of effective activation energy in the temperature range 20-60°C are defined. It is shown, that process of joint cathodic reduction of Re and Mo occurs in diffusion-kinetic mode. |
