Abstract | The paper shows that the use of automated analytical control and process control improves efficiency of gold processing plants (GPP). This eliminates human error, can significantly reduce the consumption of the reagents and increase gold recovery. The system under consideration is designed to provide continuous around the clock monitoring the process of gold ore benefication at the GPP while maintaining the core functionality even in the case of failure of its individual elements. Also, this system allows prompt repair or replacement of individual components without stopping the production line. Also, this system provides continuous diagnostics of input /output and input /output modules, control modules, as well as communication channels and operator stations. As a result, the performance of the ore processing significantly increases and gold recovery increases almost by 20%. |

Abstract | In article possibility of the manifestation of dilution ore at development steeply tilted ore bodies is considered. Mathematical modeling for determination of the zone of the destruction around worked out space is conducted by method of the border integral equations. Under existing toughness of containing rocks on mine “Ushkatyn 3” zone of the destruction around the excavate development is greatly small or practically is absent, where dilution ore is flat. However big extent development excavates and possible presence of the small breaches in massif create great probability for variation of physic-mechanical characteristics of containing rocks. |

Abstract | Processing of statistical information showed that intensity of bounces is spread on depth irregularly. At the general tendency of increase frequency of bounces with growth of development depth, zones (on depth) with increased and decreased frequency of bounces are observed, while these zones cyclically interchange among themselves. Algorithm of finding of zone centers is determined. On depths corresponding to maximum of intensity of bounces division of one sphere of specifics of system of rocks from another is taken place. These surfaces are surface of measure. Transfer through surface measure is reorganization of structure of massif. Thereby depth of rocks is differentiated in sphere of different specifics and on increasing of depth continuous change of its qualitative conditions (structure levels) occurs by means of transfer from one sphere to another one. More powerful blowout of coal and gas takes place near these points of transfer (points of bifurcation). |

Abstract | The paper presents results of the effect of pulp heating to intensify flotation of various sulfide minerals with sulfhydryl collectors. It is found that the rate of almost all reactions such as redox, sorption and desorption increases in according to Van’t Hoff principle. Extraction of sphalerite increases up to 4%, chalcopyrite up to 3% while foam product’s quality increases up to 5%. The heat is carried in form of steam, and with the help of various heat exchangers. Heating costs is equal the cost of drying the finished concentrate. Application of heat helps eliminate the use of highly toxic flotation reagents as cyanide, phenols, etc., which facilitates the transfer of benefication on closed water system. Disposing such tools as system heating flotation process can be controlled in the right direction. |

Abstract | It is represented the results on studying determination of the effect of activating additives – mono-ethanol-amine-xanthogenate (MAX) – on the flotation of mono-minerals of gold ore. Butanol-1, carbon disulphide, ethyl-1, diethylamine, monoethanolamine, β-alanine were used for the synthesis of the MAX. Activating additive MAX synthesized in the laboratory has been investigated by IR spectroscopy. It was studying the dependence of pyrite and arsenopyrite flotation from the butyl xanthate (BX) concentration. The successful flotation of single minerals was achieved at BX concentration – 30 mg/dm³. The best results on mono minerals flotation was obtained for pyrite at pH ~10.04, arsenopyrite – at pH ~9.05. It was shown that an increase of pyrite extraction by 4.89% is achieved at MAX concentration 3.0 mg/dm³; for arsenopyrite the g increase of extraction by 2% – at MAX concentration 2.0 mg/dm³ due to changes of hydrophobic surface of mono minerals. Maximum level of extraction at optimal conditions (30 mg/dm³ BX, pH~8.5-9.5) is about 82% (for pyrite) and 74% (for arsenopyrite). |

Abstract | Study of influence of pulp heating on selective separation of bulk copper-lead-zinc concentrate using modified mixed aeroflots in comparison with base butyl aeroflot has been performed. Modified mixed aeroflot is a mixture of butyl aeroflot and fusel oil in ratio 1:3. It has been shown experimentally that consumption of modified mixed aeroflot as compared with butyl aeroflot is reduced by 10 g/t. Thus, bulk copper-lead-zinc concentrate with 4.05 % of copper, 8.71% of lead, 25.9% of zinc has been obtained. Copper recovery from bulk concentrate is 85.9%, lead recovery – 84.5%, zinc recovery – 88.9%. Using modified mixed aeroflot allows to increase of non-ferrous metals recovery into the concentrate by 1.5-3%. Results of investigations show that at selective separation of bulk copper-lead-zinc concentrate with using modified mixed aeroflot heating of pulp is necessary only at a copper concentrate recovery cycle. Copper concentrate with copper content of 28.9% at 68.5% recovery has been obtained at 60°C. Copper recovery into the copper concentrate increases by 13.7% at temperature rise. High temperature also allows to exclude sodium sulfide from the desorption process. |

Abstract | It is presented the results on research of hydrogarnet technology for processing bauxite which is typical for Kazakhstan’s aluminum ore. To improve efficiency processing of bauxite is carried out by sequentially in two stages (first stage – the agitation opening of bauxite, the second stage – hydrogarnet autoclave leaching of red mud). It is defined the optimal conditions for obtaining arousal reagent, contained sodium ferrite. It has been offered the process of aluminates solutions with caustic modulus 10 – 30 conversion by synthesis of calcium hydroaluminate. Extraction of Al2O3 into solution gets up to 98%. Processing of red slime in a high modulus solution (ακ – 30) with the additions of sodium ferrite and calcium hydroxide allows to achieve the required parameters of hydrogarnet technology – synthesis of hydrogarnets, minimal loss of alkali (4.6 kg of Na2CO3 per 1 ton Al2O3), a high level of throughout extraction of alumina (92,0% Al2O3). The resulting alumina is consistent brand G-00 (GOST-30558-98). Hydrogarnet slime includes 87.4% of glandular hydrogarnet and can be used for obtaining various construction materials. The balance on distribution of main components according to hydrogarnet technology conversion per1 ton of alumina is executed. |

Abstract | It was defined the technological parameters for autogenous smelting of Balkhash copper smelter plant’s (BCSP) concentrates mixture with production of matte contained 55-60 % of copper for creating technology of continuous converting of copper mattes and it’s adaptation on BCSP. It is established that at modeling of smelting process in laboratory conditions increasing oxygen consumption from 34.02 up to 35.6 l/h and temperature from 1225 up to 1260°C gives possibility for production of matte with copper content from 55 up to 60 %. It is established the optimal composition of slags for production of high grade copper mattes. It is marked, that copper content in slags increased from 0.8 up to 1.0 % with increasing temperature, moreover, iron content from 34.39 up to 35.67 %, lead – from 1.07 up to 1.28 % also increased. It is established, that spending of silica flux assists optimization of continuous converting process to definite limit which is 17-20 %. Increasing spending flux more than 20% decreases content of copper in blister metal and increases slag out put. It is defined optimal proportion between feed and volume of blow, which is 200-220 nm³ per ton of the matte. |

Abstract | Results of study of thermal behavior of arsenic at low pressure were given in the work. Arsenic is produced by the vacuum-thermal sublimation of flotation concentrate of arsenopyrite. Experiments were carried out by thermogravimetry method on vacuum system with a continuous weighing the sample. The work indicated that arsenic begins sublime at temperature 300°C, and considerable speed of sublimation refers to a temperature over 500°C. When a sequence of reaction is close to unity, the dependence of the speed of sublimation on temperature in the coordinates lgV-1/T is described by straight lines, and the apparent energy of activation changes from 121.1 up to 188.5 kJ/mole at the pressure 6.7-91.8 kPa. Method of boiling points allowed to specify the arsenic vapor pressure, which temperature dependence is described by the equation lgP (kPa) = -6418,2/T+9,4148. Values of the vapor pressure, which were calculated by the resulting equation, are close to data found by static methods. |

Abstract | The results of research on aluminum hydroxide nanoparticles obtaining from alkaline aluminate solution by chemical precipitation are presented. Alkali-aluminate solution with concentration of Na2O – 15 g/dm³; ακ – 1,6 was used as the initial one. For the precipitation of aluminum hydroxide precipitating agents were used – such as solutions of HCl, NaHCO3 and NH4HCO3 with concentration of 80 g/dm³. Physicochemical analysis of particles of the extracted product – aluminum hydroxide was carried out on electron probe microanalyzer JXA-8230 of JEOL company, diameter of the particles and their percentages were calculated using electron micrographs, the phase composition was determined by an X-ray analysis using diffractometer D8 Advance (Bruker) with the emission of α -Cu. The experimental results indicate that when hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate are used as a precipitant solution acceptable dispersion of the product of aluminum hydroxide is not achieved. In addition, hard to wash off infusions of chlorine and sodium are present in sediments. It was determined that the best precipitator is ammonium bicarbonate. Under optimal conditions dispersed aluminum hydroxide precipitate with 52% of particles less than 100 nm was obtained. |

Abstract | It has been researched fluxing properties of siliceous ores, which are used by matte converting on copper smelters of Kazakhstan. It is showing that in regime of slow mass exchanging by slag of iron in matte with flux ores of Zhezkazgan deposit (65,2% SiO2) and Konyrat deposit (75,0% SiO2) over oxidation in comparison with silica flux, with content 98,8% SiO2 takes place. Presence of three-valence iron in slag melt assists increasing chemical and physical losses of copper with converting slag. Experiments of matte converting shown, that the more flux ability of ore the leads to more processing ability of white matte and lower copper losses, which are 4,3; 2,7 and 1,4% accordingly for fluxes with content 65,2; 75,0 and 98,8% silica. Moreover, losses of lead with slag are growing, but increase it’s recovery into dust from 20,4 up to 37,2% at using ores of deposits Zhezkazgan and Nadyrbaj accordingly. |

Abstract | On the basis of strict laws of probability is shown the ability to display an alternative partial circulation of the product dispersed in shaft kilns, where there is a constant return of some of the sinter in the download. This approach simplifies the registration of volumetric changes in the material cycles and to move from the phase of steady-state circulation. The probabilistic approach yields an equation that is not recurrence the procedure of calculation and simple in expression. Attempted an alternative approach can significantly streamline the incorporation of volumetric changes in the material cycles and maintains the constancy of the ratio of raw grains to circulating in unloading by adjusting the degree of volume change during the first pass through the kiln. |

Abstract | The article contains the research results of determination of copper extraction possibility from the Aktogay deposit oxide ores (0,42 % CuO, 0,08 % CuS, 0,01 % MoO3, oxidation level 87,2 %) by chloride sublimation by means of the integration of the program complex “Aster” based on an entropy maximum principle and a method of rototable planning of researches of the second order in the temperature range 500-1700К. It is established, that the increase of charge humidity up to 10 % promotes the chloride sublimation of copper; at the insignificant oxygen content the chloride sublimation of copper is suppressed by formation of secondary sulphide CuS, and at surplus of oxygen – by formation of secondary oxide CuO. The chloride sublimation of copper from the Aktogay deposit ore should be spent at Т=1000К, which provides a maximum of chloride sublimation of copper (≈100 %) and molybdenum (95,67 %) and a minimum degree of chloride sublimation of iron (0,0006 %). |
