Summary | In the article the physical models of diffusion dissolution and filtrational transfer of metals for the complicated conditions evaluated by reliability criteria are considered. Such models not exist and should be corrected. So, key parameters have been calculated: time of diffusion dissolution of a piece of ore with diameter d, cm; εп – rated value of metal extraction coefficient for some deposits (Tokhtasan, Pustynnoed and for deposits of sulphide ores). New formulas for calculation of metals diffusion dissolution time from influencing factors are deduced: average size of ore piece – l, coefficient of diffusion – Dп, coefficient of metal extraction – Спр at its leaching. From formulas follows, that time of metal diffusion leaching – tд strongly depends on the size of ore piece and is proportional to a square of the linear size of a piece. |

Summary | It is shown the necessity to involve non-commercial sulfide copper-molybdenum ores into processing. Tastau deposit non-commercial sulfide ores washability studying results are presented with determination of processing modes and technological results. The laboratory experiments were carried out for each operation included into the closed processing cycle. Special attention was paid to the flotation concentration experiments. It was established that the completeness of copper recovery into a concentrate depends both on the collector consumption and the flotation duration, as well as the grinding fineness. Following optimum processing conditions: collector consumption – 500 to 600 g/t of ore, flotation duration – 8 to 12 minutes, ore grinding fineness – 60 to 65% of -0.074 mm size fraction, are recommended. The produced rough copper-molybdenum concentrate, with regard to the main components content, corresponds to the similar materials to be treated by the conventional combination flow sheets. |

Summary | Influence of grinding balls sizes and their mixtures on ore grinding is analyzed in the modern probabilistic model of materials grinding. Some features previously known only for practical data are explained by application of this model. At using small balls the fractional composition of the product is characterized by the appearance of two analytical peaks in the area of large and fine fractions, which is the theoretical basis for the separation of these fractions at mill working in closed circuit with a classifier. The process speed at using the mixture of the balls is higher than at using the balls monofractions with same total weight. It indicates a synergistic effect of their combined impact. Logarithmically normal maximum position, in contrast to the separate use of balls of different sizes, timely shifting towards fine fractions, followed by passage through the largest absolute value of maximum, which is greater than any current value of peak at the separate use of the same balls. This maximum is formed earlier in comparison with the separate use of the balls, rather than in the end of the study interval (3600 s), which is also very favorable factor |

Summary | Results of thermodynamic analysis of ilmenite concentrates smelting process with using various fluxing additives (MgO, CaO, etc.) in temperatures interval 298-1900 K subject to phase transitions are presented in the article. Experiments on smelting of charge with oxides, nitrides and caustic soda additives are carried out for thermodynamic calculations results confirmation. It is found, that addition of aluminium and magnesium oxides into the charge can promote increase of iron reduction from ilmenite on 5-10%, but temperature of charge smelting decrease is negligible. Nitrides of aluminium and boron raise a degree of iron reduction on 20-25%, thus boron nitride reduces temperature of charge smelting on 100-150°С in comparison with aluminium nitride. Addition of caustic soda can lead to decrease of charge smelting temperature on 200-250°С. |

Summary | The prospects for establishing of new alumina production in Kazakhstan are reviewed in the article. Kazakhstan has significant resources of low-quality aluminium raw materials, including ferriferous bauxites. For solving problems of low-quality bauxites processing and minimization of losses of alkali and alumina it is required development of the new effective technology reducing electric energy and materials consumption in comparison with traditional way for aluminium-bearing raw material processing as “Bayer-sintering” and offered earlier “Bayer-hydrochemistry” technology. One of perspective directions of low-quality bauxites processing is the new hydrogarnet method. Development of hydrogarnet technology has been carried out last years in “Center of Earth sciences, metallurgy and ore benefication” JSC. The main difference of this method consists in conversion of active silicon dioxide into a solid phase in the form of ferriferous and aluminium hydropomegranates of calcium, insoluble in alkaline and aluminate solutions. Obtained results of the researches considerably raise efficiency of high-silicon ferriferous bauxites complex processing by a consecutive variant of Bayer-hydrogarnet technology. Techno-economic calculation for construction of the factory on alumina production with capacity 1 million tons per year by using Koktalsky bauxites deposit and Kushmurunsky coal was executed on the basis of results obtained at JSC pilot plant technological and integrated laboratory researches. |

Summary | Researches on gold sorption from multicomponent sulfurous solutions at presence of oxidizers (NaOCl and FeCl3) and oxidizers with bioadditives are resulted. Researches were carried out with application anionites AM-2B, Purolite А-100/2412, CYBBERUSX 220 and the active carbon of mark Norit. It is established, that at volumetric ratio of anionite to solution – VA:VS equal to 1:200, anionites sorb over 85 % of gold. It is shown, that the degree of gold extraction by medium basic anionite AM-2B decreases more than 1,5 times with change of volumetric ratio VA:VS from 1:200 up to 1:500. It is found, that investigated anionites by sorption properties in relation to complex gold anionites are arranged in row: АМ-2Б> Purolite А-100/2412> CYBBERUSX 220. Thus the degree of gold sorption by active carbon of mark Norit is 90 and 88 % from solutions at presence of oxidizers and oxidizers with bioadditives accordingly. |

Summary | Cathodic behavior of CuO powder on copper, titanium and steel electrodes was studied in sulfuric acid solution in potential-dynamic conditions. It was found that the reduction of CuO proceeds on all investigated electrodes by only solid phase mechanism, firstly up to Cu2O which subsequently discharges up to elemental copper. The values of the reaction order and the activation energy are calculated. Influence of current density (50-400 А/m²), concentrations of sulfuric acid (25-150 g/dm3) and titanium (IV) ions (0-4 g/dm3), process duration (30-180 min) and electrolyte temperature (20-65°С) on the copper powder current yield at the cathodic reduction of copper oxide (II) was studied by Gauss-Seidel method. Mathematical model of the current yield of superfine copper powder was given. By using this mathematical model the nomogram was calculated. |
