The collection of scientific papers presents original articles published in different years and sections of monographs of the founder of the Kazakhstan school of materials scientists, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.A. Presnyakov, as well as the works of his students, which outlined the ideas about the localization of deformation and the patterns of its development on experimental materials obtained in the study of a wide class of structural non-ferrous metals and alloys. The collection also includes new articles that analyze the results of research, taking into account modern scientific knowledge and formulations about the transformation of the structure of matter in the deformation zone. On the basis of ideas about the wave nature of the phenomena accompanying the plastic flow of matter in general and solid objects, in particular, the regularities of the development of plastic deformation localization at various structural levels are shown, and the processes of self-organization of the structure of matter under nonequilibrium conditions are also considered. Structural-deformation transformations are presented from the point of view of the fractal nature of the formation of material objects in non-equilibrium conditions for the development of open thermodynamic systems. The book is intended for scientists and specialists working on the problems of solid state physics, students of specialties metal forming, solid state physics, metal science and heat treatment.
